Why do paid drips cost mainnet SOL?
Devnet SOL is worthless, but keeping a large treasury funded and paying it out at scale is not free. The 1 : 1,000 rate covers that and keeps the free drips free.
Can I send from an exchange?
No. Devnet SOL goes to the exact wallet that sent the mainnet SOL, and an exchange never gives you that wallet.
How fast are paid drips?
