Are free drips really free?
Yes. No payment, no token, no wallet connection. We only read your public GitHub profile.
Why does solana airdrop keep failing?
The public devnet RPC rate limits airdrops, so solana airdrop often fails with airdrop request failed. This faucet pays from its own wallet, so its limits are separate: 2 SOL every 24 hours for free, and no cap on paid drips.
Why GitHub?
It keeps bots from draining the faucet, and almost every Solana developer already has an account.
Which wallets work?
Any Solana address: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or a CLI keypair (solana address prints yours). Switch the wallet to devnet to see the SOL.
Why do paid drips cost mainnet SOL?
Devnet SOL is worthless, but keeping a large treasury funded and paying it out at scale is not free. The 1 : 1,000 rate covers that and keeps the free drips free.
Can I send from an exchange?
No. Devnet SOL goes to the exact wallet that sent the mainnet SOL, and an exchange never gives you that wallet.
How fast are paid drips?
Usually seconds. If a deposit is missed, a sweep catches it within a minute.
Affiliated with the Solana Foundation?
